Let's Start! IDE, compiler and tools are FREE

You need just a PC with a USB port (Windows OS .Net Framework 4.0 is required) and an openPICUS module.
 
 Please follow the steps below:

  • Download and install C30 compiler Free version from Microchip
  • Download and install OpenPicus IDE 2.1
  • Download and read the Flyport Programmers guide
  • Connect a FlyPort module to the PC using USB or RS232 (a serial bootloader is on module)
  • Run the IDE and create a new project choosing your favorite template
  • Create, compile and download your application to the modules!
     

Let's discover the Pinout of FlyPort modules: please note that most of pins are remappable by software!

  • Digital Inputs (#4) - For ex. D1_in
  • Digital Outputs (#5) - For ex. D5_out
  • PWM Outputs (#4) - For ex. pwm4_out 
  • Analog Inputs (#4) - For ex. A3_in
  • I2C bus (#1) : For ex.I2C_cl
  • SPI bus (#1) : For ex.SPI_out
  • UART (#1) - uRX_in and uTX_out
  • Reset (#1) - Active high
  • Power supply (5V_in, GND) - Note: +3,3V (pin 24) is an output

Note on USB driver and for MAC users

USB If you use a USB programmer, please verify on the Control panel that a virtual COM Port has been created. If it hasn't, please download the right FTDI USB-Serial driver here

MAC users with Windows XP/Parallel desktop 6.0 on MacOS X 10.6: ensure that the project folder address is not of the kind: //psf/... it should be of the kind: C:\...
